Why we choose boron steel for our drum hoops

In the world of professional percussion, the choice of materials is a technical decision with a direct impact on sound, durability, and dimensional consistency.

High hardenability

The addition of a few parts per million of boron dramatically increases the steel's ability to transform into high-strength martensite during controlled cooling.

Hot forming

The material is austenitized (~900–950 °C), formed, and hardened in the mold in a single thermomechanical sequence.
