Aluvibe was founded in Turin by those who, for thirty years, have been building the first real prototypes of the car bodies of some of the most prestigious brands in the world, before they go into production — a job that leaves no room for error. It was from that same precision that the idea of applying the same approach to a musical instrument was born.

We build snare drums and drum kits in aluminum, steel, carbon fiber, and acrylic. Each drum shell is created from a computer technical drawing, with the same dimensional tolerances as an automotive component, and is processed using techniques such as laser welding and hot stamping — then assembled and finished by hand, one at a time. The result is an instrument with stable and predictable acoustic behavior, conceived before it is even built.

We don't start with a physical prototype to be refined by hand, but with a technical drawing on the computer, as you would do for a component intended for a car — and from there we build an instrument.
