HANDMADE PERCUSSIONS

Eterea Series Kit - Acrylic

Kit Contents

The Eterea Series Kit includes five PMMA acrylic shells: Tom 10x7", Tom 12x8", Floor Tom 14x14", Floor Tom 16x16", and Bass Drum 20x18". The snare drum is not included in the kit and is available separately. Each drum shell is created from a computer technical drawing, with the same dimensional tolerances as an automotive component, and is assembled and finished by hand, one at a time.

The PMMA  "Aluvibe"

For the Eterea series, we chose not to compromise on materials, selecting a PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) of the highest quality. Compared to standard plastics, this acrylic with a structural thickness of 6 mm offers superior mechanical strength and an unparalleled aesthetic result. The result is a material that is physically more transparent than glass, capable of enhancing not only the visual impact on the stage, but also the excellence of the mechanics and interior design.

Seamless acrylic

Forget the classic folded and glued acrylic shells. The entire Eterea series is made in one piece, making the drums completely seamless (with no joints). The absence of chemical welds or gluing points eliminates the internal structural tensions of the cylinder, allowing the material to resonate uniformly, freely, and naturally in all directions. This technical and production choice results in absolute acoustic linearity, an extremely defined attack, and a pure, powerful, and stable sound in all tuning conditions.

Robotic 3D Laser Cutting

All Aluvibe shells — aluminum, steel, carbon fiber or acrylic — while keeping a strong handcrafted character, are drilled and trimmed with a three-dimensional laser cutting robot. Precision, repeatability and cleanliness of cut, plus great customization potential to meet even the most specific requests from musicians.

Flange - Bearing Edge

It is not an Aluvibe invention: the flange as a bearing edge system has historically been used over time by various drum manufacturers. The special feature of AluVibe is that each drum size has a customized flange geometry, designed to enhance the sound quality of each drum, making it unique.

Each flange is produced with a dedicated mold and cold-formed, 1.5mm thick, treated with the same black cataphoresis process as the shell. The shell-to-flange joint is made with a two-component structural adhesive, of the same type used in the automotive and marine industries. Beyond its bearing edge function, the flange structurally stiffens the shell and ensures a perfect geometry, for a perfect seal of the drumhead.

Hoops

All Aluvibe hoops — tom, floor tom and bass drum, snares excluded — are traditional triple-flanged steel hoops, cold-stamped, 1.6mm thick. They work together with the flange (custom-geometry bearing edge) to tension the drumhead via the tension rods.

Lugs

Die-cast aluminum alloy lugs, single-sided type, with integrated gasket and fixing screw. M6 internal thread.
Unlike other brands, Aluvibe chooses to use only metric threads on all its components, partly out of a sense of local pride.
Fixing to the drum: stainless steel screws, with stainless steel washers and neoprene.

Drumheads

Aluvibe has its own line of drum heads made of high-quality Mylar.

Drum head: ~10 mil (0.25mm), on all tom/floor tom sizes.
Resonant drumhead: ~7.5 mil (0.188mm), on tom and floor tom.
Bass Drum Batter: dedicated drum head with integrated damping ring.
Bass Drum Resonant: dedicated drum head with a hole for microphones.

Tom stands (10" / 12")

Stand consisting of a tom bracket, screwed to the drum shell, and a tom holder, which attaches the tom to the support rod. Double-lever locking mechanism for quick and stable positioning.

Floor Tom stands (14" / 16")

The floor tom legs are manufactured internally by Aluvibe in aluminum, with a 90° support angle to improve sound propagation.
It is fixed to the shell by means of 3 clamp supports, with stainless steel screws and stainless steel and neoprene washers.

Bass Drum Stand

2 telescopic and adjustable spurs, with rubber tip and screw locking system, fixed to the drum shell and used to stabilize the Bass Drum on the ground during performance. Fastening: 3 M5 stainless steel screws per spur, with stainless steel and neoprene washers.
